Being still and meditating is somehow different if you do it in yoga class. Shavasana is my favorite position. Joke. Meditation seems so boring and not very appealing if you have to do it at home. So I am trying to trick myself with this apple juice meditation. As soon as I come home from work I prepare a big glas with a dash of apple cider vinegar – not more than 5 ml which is a tablespoon full – and then thirds of each: unfiltered apple juice, boiling hot water and cold water. I sit down, close my eyes and drink that mix with a straw. As slowly as possible, which can take 5 to 10 minutes.
Think of nothing. Drink apple juice. Create free space in your head. Keep your eyes shut. Breathe. Drink. Breath. Repeat.
There is an interesting aspect to it. I mean, this apple juice meditation is a conscious, clear signal to my body that it´s time to calm down.
